Not all hosting is created equal. At ORCS Web we provide managed hosting services for clients who need more than just power, bandwidth and rack space. Our customers get the value of our 11+ years of experience in hosting applications on Microsoft technologies.
I founded this company in 1996 because I continually heard from people that there were hosting options out there, but once they allocated space they either didn’t care to, or couldn’t, provide quality support and decent customer service. ORCS Web came into being to fill this need. Here, it’s all about the customer.
Why are we “#1 in Service and Support”?
We believe that in a fast paced complex environment like managed hosting you need to have top notch technical support. Our people love challenges and the satisfaction of overcoming them. Our people are also passionate about Microsoft technologies. That’s why our people have various Microsoft certifications from MCP to MCSE to MCDBA and other certifications like Network+ and Dell Support Specialist. Several of our people travel to speak at various events and also engage in technology publications (two are working on IIS7 books right now). So, as you can tell, our people not only know the technology, they love it. This isn’t just a “punch the clock” job for them – they enjoy the challenges and opportunities.
Is it all about support? Some people believe so, and some companies would have you think so, but I disagree. I believe that just as important as the support is the customer service. What good is a person who is really strong technically but who is slow to respond to issues, or who doesn’t communicate well, or who seems to care about technology but not your needs personally?
At ORCS Web we focus on both service and support. As part of our service we set high levels of standards on our customer communication; our pro-active monitoring and engagement; and all customer interaction. We work with our clients as if we were all on the same team – because we are. Our goal is to understand the application architecture to provide the best level of service and support possible. Then we can focus on the systems and do what we do best – while our customers focus on their core business and do what they do best.
Here it is all about the people. It’s about our people and their skills and personalities. It’s also about our customers and addressing their needs in a way that is efficient, effective, and also part of an enjoyable relationship.
But, talk is cheap, and marketing can be deceptive. I encourage you to ask for references and get feedback directly from people who have experienced our services. Our customers love to talk about us so we can provide contacts that have dealt with other hosts and can explain the differences. We can provide contacts from clients who recently converted from other hosts and also ones who have been with us for quite a few years. Just let me know if you are interested (brad.kingsley[at]orcsweb.com).
Happy hosting!
