I guess with as many years as I have been in IT I shouldn't be surprised when I buy something then a "new and improved" version comes out two weeks later :)

Samsung has released the latest Q1 model that has a few neat features. One feature being the split keyboard to allow thumb-typing (though I would have to try this to know for sure how well it works). Another cool feature is the built-in camera that records both stills and video.

On the down side, the device is wider now to accommodate the enhancements. I like the small form factor of the Q1 I have - it seems like too much larger and it gets close to the UMPC notebooks like the Vaio which are just too much to carry around all the time. I also noticed that they didn't put the new SSD drives in this newest model (yet). The SSD drive will definitely be something I look for in the future when I upgrade.
